The Rocks, Sydney 2010
Tenho ótimas lembranças dos dias que passei em Sydney em dezembro de 2010. Não escrevi muito aqui no blog sobre minha viagem porque acho que por mais que se escreva, muitas vezes as imagens valem mais que mil palavras. Adorei em particular esse lugar de Sydney. Como estou com saudades, coloquei algumas fotos de The Rocks, na parte velha da cidade, mas totalmente reformado, limpo e lindo. Lá tive a oportunidade de visitar a Sydney Theatre Company. A mesma paixão que tenho pelo cinema, tenho pelo teatro. Vi a peça Uncle Vanya e tive a ótima oportunidade de assistir dois dos meus atores favoritos em cena, os australianos Cate Blanchett e Hugo Weaving. Cate é diretora artística da companhia de teatro e faz um belo trabalho no palco e fora dele. Gostaria estar lá este ano e ver outra peça dela que promete. É uma montagem de Grande e Pequeno, de Botho Strauss, grande sucesso aqui no Brasil nos anos 80 com a excelente Renata Sorrah. Então, se visitar Sydney recomendo. Aproveite e veja uma peça na Sydney Theatre Company. De preferência compre um ingresso para ver Cate no palco. Mas faça isso com uma antecipação de pelo menos 6 ou 7 meses, porque os ingressos para peças dela se esgotam com muita antecedência tal é a procura. Veja o site da STC AQUI

Nice car! That looks like a big rock on top of it. I like The Rocks too - it's got great atmosphere. I cannot believe you saw Cate Blanchett in a theater show - she's an amazing actress. It must have been amazing to watch her act. Cheers / Graeme

When I saw Uncle Vanya, I went to the Night with the Actors. It's a nice experience. The cast and the director chat with the audience after the play. I went your class on Monday and two hours after I was at Sydney Theatre to see the play. I said to some colleagues, but was not possible get the tickets in the same day. All the tickets sold out in June or July 2010.
